Book Recommendations

Post by Kitty soot_sprite »

Recommend books to your fellow Khy'erans!

Try to give a few keywords so that people know what the book involves - and if it includes NSFW scenes, please include that in the description!

Glossary of keywords

High fantasy - characters' actions are in or mostly in a secondary fictional world/universe

Isekai - Japanese term meaning "different world" or "otherworld") is an "accidental travel" genre that revolves around a normal person from Earth being transported to, reborn or otherwise trapped in a parallel universe or fantasy world, where they must adapt and/or assimilate into this new world, along with its new rules, new cultures, and new philosophies.

Low fantasy - aka intrusion fantasy, is a subgenre of fantasy fiction in which magical events intrude on an otherwise-normal world. This could also include things like Urban Fantasy, where you have fantasy characters in a modern, real-world city.

Cerys Collins is leader of a renowned guild in the world of MMORPGs. When a new RPG offers her a beta tester position, she's surprised at the life-like feel of the game. It's not long before she realizes that there's more to Jeriskyr Online than what the company is telling her - and things are about to become very real.

Audiobook available (and recommended - and I'm not an audiobook fan)
