- Warm brown, smooth and faintly lustrous like fresh honey or burnished gold. There are few obvious blemishes, suggesting that Shahira takes excellent care of her skin. The only real scar is located on the bottom of her left foot when she stepped on a shard of glass as a child.
- Hair:
- Dark brown with softer auburn highlights, it falls to her waist in thick, rippling waves. She prefers to wear it loose or in elaborate styles, typically adorned with colorful fabric and jewelry.
- Eyes:
- Mahogany brown, almond-shaped and upturned like a cat’s. They are fringed with long, dark lashes.

Shahira is plainly not of Khy'eras although her precise origins would be impossible to pin down. She strives to be presentable at all times; she's tidy, well-dressed, and projects an air of confidence with her straight-backed posture. Her clothes are usually of good quality or better, and she tends to smell faintly of spices.
She has intricate markings in dark henna ink on the back of her hands, around her wrists and on her palms. There is a stylized sun on the palm of her left hand and a stylized crescent moon on her right.

Personality
Shahira is a little bit like a hurricane: forceful, captivating, and intent on forging her own path. Compared to her brother's steady stoicism, she is vibrant, exuding an unquenchable confidence and a feverish passion for life and all it contains. Unfortunately, she is at times over-ambitious and she shares her brother's stubborn streak. Of the two, her temper is as swift and explosive as lightning.
Conversely, Shahira enjoys the finer things in life and is determined to make something of herself. She has a blindspot for her limitations and, occasionally, the limitations of others but she enjoys overcoming challenges and does not remain defeated for long.
