The Bestiary of Ages

An ever expanding collection of books, journals, paintings, sculptures, and accounts of beasts the world over.

From letters to journals to thoughts and everything in between, certain character story development requires free-form writing as it does not happen in a particular location. Thus, this little corner of Khy'eras can be used to jot down ideas and stories.

The Bestiary of Ages

Post by The Unreliable Narrator » August 7th, 2019, 3:57 am

This is designed to be a community expandable account of monsters, beasts, and phenomenon discovered in travels across Khy'eras.
There will be a general format, and the entries should be kept somewhat brief and somewhat formal. If a writer wants to expound about an entry more get out there an write it into a scene then link it back!

Code: Select all
Name of Entry (Scientific If Exists - Folknames)
(Imagery if it exists in a collapsible tag)

River Elk - Buck & Doe
Type: Monster
Environment: Any vibrant but untamed river or other water source
Threat: Buck - Dangerous to Approach | Doe - Difficult to Capture
Features: The elk's body appears to be made of flowing clear water, but it's stomach and neck often contain aquatic flora or fauna from the area. The horns of the buck are large and imposing and appear to be made of compressed river rock. Their legs are oddly thin, though they are often obscured by the water the creature resides in. In spite of this River Elk are still capable of powerful kicks and bounding leaps.

"It was if someone had just taken a section of the river and simply poured it into a mold." - Druid & Hunter Harroc Crownegrove
